Monthy Favourites #2

In my head it feels like it’s been January forever, but it's monthly favourites time!
La Roche-Posay Effaclar MAT
For years I’ve used Effaclar Duo as my daily moisturiser but my shiny T-zone needed some extra TLC. Effaclar MAT has all the same amazing attributes of Effaclar Duo but with some extra moisture and hydration while mattifying to control shine all day. It definitely makes a difference with shine, I have ditched the blotting powders and mattifying primers now and my make-up lasts much longer. I wouldn't say it stops shine completely but I want that glow (without the grease) and this has made a huge difference. If you have combination skin, I can’t recommend this enough!
They curl your lashes really well and they’re copper… hello I’m not sure there is much else that needs to be said really!
This was a very accidental find… on Christmas morning my husband very proudly handed me a Christmas stocking and to my surprise the contents was essentially my everyday face! Foundation, concealer, mascara etc… and then this little beauty. He later confessed to buying this first and then realised it wasn’t the Real Techniques one I usually use so made another trip back to Boots! But I now found myself reaching for this as my go to! It’s so soft and creates such a flawless base, evenly covering all the nooks and crannies of your face.
Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads
I'm devoted to acid toning after my cleansing routine, and I LOVE the Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner, but being the sucker that I am for trying out new products I decided to impulsively pick these and I’m so glad I did! Just like the MB Glycolic Acid Toner these refine your skin texture and brighten the skin but in handy little pads (much more travel friendly). The glycolic acid retextures & resurfaces, the hyaluronic acid moisturises & refreshes and the blue daisy soothes & calms - win, win, win!
A multi-tasking, peachy, rose gold illuminator that I works both as a mixer; either a smidge blended in with foundation when you need warming-up and some glow OR I pump out a small amount and apply as I would a normal highlighter – just beautiful. The liquid texture glides on easily, a light cream that a little goes a long way with.

What have you been loving this month?
Mrs Hull xx
