Brunch at The Ivy, Clifton

This weekend my gal Ash and I made our way to gorgeous Clifton for a brunch date at The Ivy Clifton Brasserie. I love this place, it always promises delish food, a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and Instagram worthy decor.

the-ivy-clifton-blog-images Like all good brunch dates, we started with coffee. While we sipped our way through our latte art, we pretended to browse the menu. We'd gone for one thing, and one thing only. Waffles!

It’s worth mentioning that the waffles are normally only available to order as part of the weekend brunch menu (after 11.30am), but the staff were happy to accommodate us as we were so keen! After a few short minutes, she arrived back with the ‘build your own waffle’ menu cards in hand and we were happier than pigs in mud.

I opted for:
  • Flavour: Vanilla
  • Ice Cream: Pistachio
  • Fruit: Raspberries
  • Topping: Chocolate flakes
  • Sauce: Dark chocolate

We handed back our menu cards, and eagerly waited for our plates to arrive while catching up on the last few weeks worth of ‘first world problems’ and life updates.

These beauties arrived in no time, with separate jugs of pouring chocolate sauce and yes there were as good as they looked!! After snapping many, many pics we tucked in…cue our “OMGTHISISSOGOOD” face to one another! It’s safe to say they didn’t last long!

Food followed with peach and elderflower ice teas and a vanilla shakerato to cleanse our very chocolatey palates.

The breakfast menu here of course stretches further than just waffles. I can tell you first hand the Vegetarian Breakfast and Avocado, Tomato and Sesame are AMAZING.

I'll definitely be heading back again… and again.
