A skincare haul is long overdue. It makes sense seeing as my spending habits these days have been leaning more towards style and home goods. There’s nothing in here that you wouldn’t have heard of before, but they are all things that I picked up recently and bloomin’ love to use. Being a self confessed skincare junkie, when The Ordinary popped up on ASOS Beauty and Beauty Bay these babies went straight my basket. The descriptions of the products are very science and ingredients based so I thought the below might help as a bit of a guide if you were thinking about trying anything from the range...

Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

What is it? A High-Strength Vitamin and Mineral Blemish Formula
This solution reduces the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion and
Balances visible sebum activity.
How to use:
I apply this all over my face morning and evening before heavier creams.


AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

What is it? A 10-Minute Exfoliating Facial
This solution exfoliates the skin for a brighter and more even appearance. It improves the skin texture and reduced the look of fine lines with continued use. Use no more than twice a week.
How to use: Clean face and wait for skin to dry. Apply evenly across face and neck using your fingertips. Leave on for no more than 10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water

100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil

What is it? 100% pure Rosehip Seed Oil that is both cold-pressed and organic.
This oil is renowned for its anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties. This silky oil helps to calm redness, hydrate dry skin, treat scars and burns, brighten skin, and regenerate damaged tissue.
How to use:
Apply once a day to the face, ideally at bedtime after application of water-based treatments.

Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
What is it?
7% Glycolic Acid, Amino Acids, Aloe Vera, Ginseng and Tasmanian Pepperberry
This acid exfoliates the skin, this solution offers mild exfoliation for improved skin radiance and visible clarity. The formula also improves the appearance of skin texture with continued use.
How to use: I use this as part of my nighttime skincare, no more frequently than once per day. After cleansing, cover a cotton pad with the toner and sweep across face and neck.

Salicylic Acid 2% Solution

What is it? 2% Salicylic Acid and Witch Hazel
This solution exfoliates the skin and walls of the pores, fights appearance of blemishes and blackheads helping with skin clarity.
How to use: I use this in the morning and at night. Either applying a small dot directly on spots a small amount over the face.

High-Adherence Silicone Primer

What is it? High-Adherence Blurring Surface Smoother and Primer
This formula acts as a matte, hydrating, blurring primer for makeup that looks higher in definition and adheres for longer. The formula can also be used alone as a non-greasy hydrator that reduces the looks of pores and of imperfections.
How to use: I use this as the last step in my skincare as a makeup primer.
